Our Mission
The Politeia Review is an academic social sciences journal publication created to bridge socio-political ideologies of the modern world with that of classical literature and beyond. We believe that journal papers representing events over the course of centuries to date are critical in our mission to illuminate changes and continuities from politics in the classical era, to today.
Letter From The Editors
Welcome to The Politeia Review!

As new socio-political ideologies emerge and flourish in the wake of global liberalism and modernization, paying homage to the formative, structural literary texts and social movements of antiquity has become a pressing concern. We strive to embrace our classical foundation, and emphasize the degree of impact that ancient philosophies have on our modern world. The word Politeia is Greek for "political ideology" and etymologically derives from the word polis which means "community" or "city-state." We challenge you to compare and contrast how your community has been affected by political ideology, from both from the present and from antiquity.

The Politeia Review accepts submissions from secondary school students. From intensive, dedicated research, we seek to truly explore the degree of effect that socio-political movements and texts have had on the formation of modern philosophy. We encourage students of all backgrounds to augment their voices and partake in extensive research regarding how the age of antiquity has molded the modern age. While we encourage thinking beyond the prompt and delving into all areas of classical and political interest, the goal of The Politeia Review is to honor the formative movements of the classical era in relation to present day politics.

We appreciate your interest in this publication and truly hope that you too, will use this journal as an academic medium to explore relevant, thought-provoking subject matter.
